Find out why Amsterdam is known as the Venice of the North on this one hour cruise. There are more than 100 kilometres of canals, around 90 islands and 1550 bridges to discover. This mini cruise is an ideal way to get a taste of this most romantic of cities from the water. You'll get privileged views of the some of the city's most beautiful spots from one of our deluxe boats.

As you cruise through the old city centre you'll be able to admire gabled merchants』 mansions, old churches and warehouses dating from Holland's Golden Age in the 17th Century, as well as the numerous bridges, typical houseboats and the unique vibe of this fascinating city. The three main canals dug in the 17th Century during the Dutch Golden Age form concentric belts around the city known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings. This area was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. We'll also pay a visit to the city's busy commercial port before returning to our point of departure.

The tour includes an audio-guide with running commentary and clear explanations of all the main landmarks, the canals and their history. The audio-guide is available in English, French, German and Spanish. In summer the glass roof slides open so you can get even better views and in winter all our boats are fully-heated. The cruise starts at Prins Hendrikkade 33a opposite the Central Station.
